Responsibilities
· Devising and implementing strategic solutions relating to Academic quality and standards
· In coordination with other departments, being accountable for overall student reenrollment.
· Using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to inform and direct academic strategy.
· Conducting evaluation of center performance and relaying feedback to relevant personnel.
· Working with other departments to coordinate the development of projects.
· Supporting to build academic standards/ customer service system by providing feedback
· Planning training schedules for teachers and TA
· Assist the employer in promotion of its programs and courses. This promotion may take the form of: still pictures, video and audio through web sites, brochures, commercials and any other medium that the employer uses to promote its programs. In such promotions the school may also reveal some personal information, such as, full name, age, qualifications, and work history.
· Be available at times agreed to promote and advertise the school and its programs within reasonable notice periods.
· Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum for IELTS program
Implement strategies to achieve student performance targets in IELTS exams
KPI's
· Monitor and control teaching quality to provide customer satisfaction on learning outcome for students. Internal Process Quality - be responsible for the quality of AEG teaching and ensure it is to the expected standards. Provide guidance and uphold and develop procedures and consultation to division stakeholders and Academic department. Measured by hitting 70% of re-enrolment target.
· Monitor teacher schedule, annual leave/sick leave, teacher retention to minimize class cancel and control teacher cost. Support initiatives that contribute to promoting teacher retention, develop and deliver training and professional development opportunities for Academic Department.
· Monitor teaching quality and ensure consistency in academic delivery
· Foster a culture of data-informed decision-making concerning Academic Department actions.
Ensure compliance with international IELTS standards.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher degree from a recognized university
· An internationally recognized English language teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, or equivalent)
· At least 5 years ESL teaching experience at reputable institutions
· Experience in teaching Young Learners/ Teens/IELTS
· At least 2 years’ experience in a Management role
· A postgraduate ELT/TESOL qualification, such as Cambridge DELTA, Cambridge IDLTM or a Master's degree in ELT/TESOL
· Thorough understanding of the role of culture in language teaching and learning
IELTS certificate with a high band score (preferably 8.0+ overall)
