About The Team

The Product Development team in Vietnam focus on solving immediate needs of Shopee for Vietnam market in 3 main categories: Operation, Engagement, and Partnership.

Our scope consists of products in various sizes and complexity levels, serving both internal users (Shopee staffs) as well as external users (our buyers, sellers, brands and partners).

As a member in the team, you'll be part of an Agile team targeting at a specific category to develop impactful tools / features to accelerate business goals in that area.

Job Description

• Create high-quality, reusable code components using ReactJS to implement visually appealing and responsive user interfaces.
• Write clean, high‐quality, maintainable code with the best development practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices are followed and maintain code quality.
• Contribute to technical specifications for future reference and team collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver secure and performant products.
• Engage in regular technology sharing sessions within the company and other tech events in the region.
  
  

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience in frontend development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
• Understanding of common topics: RESTful, HTTP, parallel processing, DOM, browser rendering engines, UI responsive, web socket, caching.
• Good knowledge of performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading, caching, and minification.
• Experience with Git and knowledge of code bundling tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
• Enjoy discussions about the stability and scalability of Frontend systems.
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Open-minded, honest and have a positive attitude toward people.
