1. Enforces documents and establishes effective controls for all revenues, expenses and protection of assets.

2. Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analysis, interpretation and projections to management.

3. Maximizes cash flow by proactively managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

4. Develops and implements accounting and financial strategies that support achievement of the goals.

5. Co-ordinates and assists department heads in the preparation and implementation of the company’s annual business plan.

6. Controls capital and FF&E expenditure to ensure compliance with justifications and approvals.

7. Provides management with reports and information that can be used as a basis for improved decision making.

8. Develops annual operating and capital budget by working with department managers; analyzes budget variances and recommends strategies for improvement.

9. Implements and maintains effective accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policy, generally accepted accounting principles and local legal requirements and regulations.

10. Directs and manages the cost control, purchasing and storeroom functions ensuring effective systems are in place.

11. Administers all company insurance programs in conjunction with corporate office.

12. Approves all contracts, leases and other legal documents and ensures their safekeeping.

13. Acts as authorized signatory, ensuring that allowances, adjustments, purchase requests, cheques and other documents are approved accordingly.

14. Ensures that employees are selected, trained, evaluated and rewarded in compliance with existing employee management system.

15. Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees.

16. Participates in all wage and salary administration functions
