Bookkeeper

Overview

AS White is currently looking for a Bookkeeper to work exclusively with an Australian client in a growing team in Vietnam. You will be working under the Australian Tax Manager in Vietnam with a core focus on bookkeeping tasks, while also working closely with the bookkeeping team in Australia. This is an opportunity to work with a large, successful, and reputable chartered accounting firm in Australia with an outstanding team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and complete day to day bookkeeping of various clients of different industries for a large Australian firm
• Accounts receivable, including processing daily receipts, invoicing, checking variances, following up on outstanding payments and balancing accounts
• Accounts payable, including processing of supplier invoices, weekly supplier payments and supplier reconciliation
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Review and reconcile Bank and Credit Card Statements
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statement (BAS) and PAYG Instalment Activity Statements in accordance with the Australian Tax office
• Weekly, Monthly and quarterly processing and reporting
• HR functions, including full-function monthly payroll, payroll tax, superannuation payments, IAS and reconciling HR General Ledger accounts monthly
• Adhoc bookkeeping administrative and technical tasks as required
• Respond to client and team queries promptly
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant Bookkeeping or Accounting Qualification
• 2+ years of strong commercial experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role (Australian bookkeeping experience essential)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Sound knowledge of Xero, MYOB and Excel
• Impeccable eye for detail
• Experience managing multiple clients and multi-tasking
• Ability to work autonomously on bookkeeping functions, but also operate as part of a team as a positive team player
• Excellent time management skills and highly organised
