Job Description

What will you work on?

Lead a team of Mechanical Designer, digital Sculptor, CNC machinist, and model maker to develop new functioning toy models to meet the schedule, quality and cost.

How will you create impact?

• Monitor the quality schedule of 3D generation by Freeform Onshape Software
• Ensure the 3D printed model, duplicated models and decorated models are done with fine details and robust for handling and playing
• Ensure the CNC cutting tooling selection and machining path are optimized to minimize machining time and materials waste.
• Maintain good 5S and safety of workers at workshop area
• Innovate new model building technology material types for quality/ schedule/ cost improvement.
• Provide mechanical design training to Mechanical Designer to handle more complex toys
  
  

What are your skills and experience?

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• 10 years of experience in toy design and manufacturing and model making with at least 3 years’ experience in model shop management;
• Excellent communications skill in English is a must and Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage.
• Experienced in complex mechanism design especially gear box, linkages, cam surface, hook and snaps by using Pro-E/Solid Works/Onshape or related design software.
• Exposure in foam processing, digital sculpting, model making and decoration etc.
• Skillful in DFMEA/DFMA and assembly process
• Very innovative, always think out of the box to develop new ideas for better design with lower product cost
