• Attends to telephone calls and takes table reservations for each meal period.

• Maintains reservation book and all information pertaining to room occupancy and daily events.

• Maintains menu & wine list condition, change menu poster according to meal time

• Be in charge of flower requisitions for the restaurant; maintains the freshness of floral arrangements on the dining tables and buffet counters.

• Be in charge of mail and newspaper, pick up for the restaurant & report to logbook

• Performs light secretarial duties i.e. typing and filing of documents; Updates memos at the staff notice board.

• Assists with receiving and storage of goods

• Cleans and maintains equipment and premises

• Maintains hygienic standards and procedures

• Assists with the preparation of functions and service

• Assists with the preparation of an outlet for service including:

• Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships

• Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled

• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled

• Actively informs guests of product options and offering

• Takes a diligent and pro-active approach to guest care and service at all times.

• Be personally available to assist any area of the hotel as required if available to do so

• Fluent English

• High school or Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field.

• 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
