The Ocean Freight Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day freight operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction at the Ho Chi Minh branch. This role involves coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and regional product teams to optimize operational performance and maintain high service standards.

Operational Management

• Supervise daily ocean freight operations to ensure compliance with SOPs and KPIs.
• Monitor shipment processing, documentation, and data accuracy to maintain service quality.

· Coordinate and support the month-end closing process to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

Performance & Reporting

• Review and ensure data-quality reports meet performance targets.
• Generate job and volume reports to analyze costs, sales, gross profit, and key operational KPIs.
• Identify areas for improvement in workflow, resource allocation, and subcontractor management.

Customer & Vendor Relations

• Assist in customer acquisition and retention by supporting joint sales calls and performance meetings.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors (carriers, truckers, brokers. etc.) and address performance issues.
• Ensure service commitments to customers are met while supporting business growth initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide guidance and training to the ocean freight team to enhance skills and efficiency.
• Support team members in resolving complex shipment or service-related issues.
• Promote a positive and collaborative work environment to drive team success.

Compliance & Documentation

• Oversee documentation processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Approve accounts payable and receivable documents before job closure.
• Ensure mandatory documents are collected, verified, and properly maintained.

Continuous Improvement

• Conduct case studies and root cause analyses to prevent recurring issues.
• Work closely with regional and local teams to implement operational enhancements.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to improve logistics efficiency.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

·       Education: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or a related field.

·       Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in ocean or airfreight operations, with experience in a supervisory role.

·       Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international freight services, customs regulations, and carrier networks.

·       Problem-Solving: Ability to handle escalations and develop operational solutions.

·       Technical Skills: Proficiency in freight management systems and industry-standard tools.

·       Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills to liaise with global teams and clients.

·       Customer Orientation: Service-driven mindset with a focus on efficiency and client satisfaction.

·       Advantageous Experience: Handling special shipments (reefer, DG, project logistics) and experience in sales support.
