The General Accountant has an exciting, challenging and pivotal role in managing financial data, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health and integrity of the organization. This role will report to the Accounting Director and plays a crucial part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, providing accurate financial information for decision-making, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

As a General Accountant, your mission includes but is not limited to:

Ensure all accounting activities of the company are recorded properly in compliance with US GAAP;
Contribute to and lead portions of month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations;
Produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly separate and consolidated financial statements;
Perform Accounts Payable and treasury functions as needed;
Handle fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses and tax matters;
Review and file all accounting and tax documents;
Support audit initiatives and work closely with external auditors and tax;
Partner with other departments to ensure proper accounting for transactions;
Contribute to the efficiency of the accounting team by participating in cross-training, sharing job responsibilities, and serving as position backup for other team members;
Develop and document business processes and accounting procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
Assist with system implementation projects and ad hoc requests

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required; ACCA preferred;
Strong technical accounting background and US GAAP knowledge are required (preferred working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition);
Proven 4-5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably in a global context or experience working in a startup, scale-up or tech company;
Strong understanding of accounting principles, international accounting standards, and best practices in global operations;
Proficiency in English is required;
Proficiency in using Excel is required, and experience with NetSuite is highly desirable;
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‐paced, professional environment;
Ability to work independently as well as on a team, with strong verbal, written and communication skills;
Leadership and team management skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams

Công ty TNHH Samsung Electronics Việt Nam (SEV) được cấp giấy phép đầu tư ngày 25/3/2008, chính thức đi vào hoạt động tháng 4 năm 2009. Tổng vốn đầu tư hiện nay là 2,5 tỷ USD. Tính đến hết tháng 6/2018, SEV đã giải ngân hơn 2,4 tỷ USD.

Samsung Electronics có 9 nhà máy sản xuất điện thoại di động trên toàn cầu (Hàn Quốc, Indonesia và ấn độ mỗi nước có 01 nhà máy; Trung Quốc, Brazil và Việt Nam mỗi nước có 2 nhà máy). Hai nhà máy ở Việt Nam là SEV (Bắc Ninh) và SEVT (Thái Nguyên, thành lập năm 2013, vốn đầu tư là 5 tỷ USD). Hiện nay đây là 2 nhà máy sản xuất linh kiện và lắp ráp điện thoại di động lớn nhất và hiện đại nhất của Samsung Electronics trên toàn cầu.

Năm 2010, Giới thiệu dòng điện thoại thông minh Galaxy sử dụng hệ điều hành Android, ra mắt dòng TV 3D đầu tiên tại Việt Nam
Năm 2012, Ra mắt dòng Smart TV đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Dẫn đầu thị trường điện thoại thông minh và LED TV
Năm 2014, Dự án SamSung Vietnam Electronics Thái Nguyên (SEVT) nhận giấy phép đầu tư đi vào hoạt động tại khu công nghiệp Yên Bình, Thái Nguyên, với tổng số vốn đầu tư 5 tỷ USD
Năm 2016, Dự án SEHC (SamSung CE Complex) của SamSung Việt Nam có tổng số vốn đầu tư 2 tỷ USD đặt tại khu công nghệ cao Sài Gòn chính thức đi vào hoạt động.
