SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced MYP/DP Arts Teacher, to commence in August 2025. Candidates should already have a minimum of at least two years of teaching the MYP/DP Arts. Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are an expectation as we move forward with developing our CCA program.
Candidates should be aware that SNA-HCMC is a member of CIS, is fully accredited by WASC, and therefore places safe-guarding and child protection at the forefront of recruitment. To this end, SNA-HCMC abides by the UN Convention on the Rights of The Child.
Candidates MUST be able to provide suitable background checks as we will NOT process your application without these documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervises the behavior of all students in the classroom, throughout school grounds, and on educational trips.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Plans and develops an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom, adhering to educational best practices and state and school district curriculum guidelines.
• Designs and presents individual lesson plans in one or more academic subjects using a variety of teaching techniques that appeal to various learning styles and methods.
• Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; evaluates, corrects, and grades student performance.
• Discusses academic difficulties or behavioral problems with students as they arise.
• Monitors students’ progress throughout the year and evaluates preparedness for high school.
• Communicates all progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parents and, as appropriate, other faculty, staff, and/or principal.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with parents.
• Enforces safety and security standards for students, staff, and visitors.
• Maintains required paperwork for individual student files, attendance and incident reports, and other necessary records.
• Monitors halls, study periods, and lunchrooms with other faculty and staff.
• Participates in faculty meetings, educational conferences, in-service opportunities, workshops, and other training seminars.
• Maintains knowledge of research, developments, and best practices in middle grade education.
• Performs related tasks such as sponsoring student activities or organizations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Thorough understanding of pedagogy and the best practices of education.
• Desire to teach middle school-aged children and ability to adapt to their developmental status.
• Ability to design lessons that teach curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and individual or collaborative projects and research.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Creative analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts Education, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, or related field; teaching certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching MYP/DP Arts in an IB school setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the IB MYP and DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated Arts lessons for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and student supervision skills.
• Skilled in integrating technology and digital tools into Arts instruction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Creative, collaborative, and proactive in contributing to school life and CCAs.
• Committed to child safeguarding and able to provide valid background checks.
• Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.

Sự kiểm định WASC thể hiện sự kiên định nhất quán của chúng tôi trong việc giữ vững các tiêu chuẩn cao ở các khía cạnh áp dụng tại trường SNA và kết quả kiểm định này được các trường đại học toàn cầu công nhận như là chuẩn mực của các tiêu chí học thuật vượt trội.
Ngoài ra, kể từ năm 2020, trường SNA đã trở thành một thành viên của Hội Đồng Các Trường Quốc Tế (CIS) và hiện tại đang tiến hành các công việc cần thiết để đạt được kiểm định hoàn toàn của tổ chức này. Đến hiện tại, chỉ có khoảng 800 trường đạt kiểm định của CIS trên toàn cầu. CIS là một đơn vị độc lập bên ngoài làm việc với các trường học nhằm đảm bảo các hướng dẫn đưa ra phản ánh được các quy tắc đạo đức cốt lõi của tổ chức , đồng thời thể hiện được đơn vị trường cam kết không ngừng hoàn thiện tự thân và phát triển.
Bằng việc đưa ra một cam kết tương tự, cho thấy rằng trường SNA tiếp tục nỗ lực để hỗ trợ toàn cộng đồng trong việc mang lại môi trường an toàn, lành mạnh và hiệu quả, lợi ích cho quá trình học tập của học sinh và nhân viên.
