Job Description & Summary

In indirect tax at PwC, you will focus value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax and other indirect taxes. Your work will involve providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimise their indirect tax positions.


Summary:

A career in our WorldTrade Management Services (WMS), within Tax services of PwC Tax and Advisory (Vietnam) Co., Ltd, will provide you with the opportunity to deal with projects, including compliance reporting, valuation of imports and exports, duty reliefs, tariff classification, country of origin, and restructuring to ensure our clients are duty and tax efficient across the global supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Consultant, you will have detailed and practical knowledge of customs and international trade issues in Vietnam.

You must understand how customs and trade issues affect our clients’ business and have the ability to understand and present complex issues clearly and concisely. In order to manage your work efficiently and be able to identify business opportunities, you should equip yourself with sound knowledge on customs valuation; customs classification; goods’ origin and free trade agreements; requirements on customs compliance for export manufacturing/export processing enterprises; customs finalization reports and customs audits/inspections.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of working experience in customs, import – export and international trade;
• Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs, Finance, Accounting, or Economics related majors;
• Customs, legal or industry background in customs and trade compliance;
• Highly responsible, detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines;
• Be self-motivated, and show willingness to learn;
• Fluency English and Vietnamese (in both written and spoken communication);
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.);
• Obtaining customs declaration certificate issued by Customs Department would be a plus;
• Being familiar with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.), and data analytic tools like Alteryx/ Power BI would be a plus;
