About the Department
The Wholesale Banking function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Overview Of The Role
Relationship Management (Commercial Banking) is responsible for strengthening the firm's relationships with existing accounts, and driving continuous service improvements with ultimate focus on business retention. Develops the strategy, processes, and delivery measurement for service among all functional areas responsible for delivering to clients. Commercial Banking covers activities related to the development, origination, and management of banking loan products, advice, and trade financing for institutions with mid-high range revenues. Responsible for providing banking loan services and auxiliary products (e.g., letters of credit) to Institutions.
Corporate & Commercial Banking covers activities related to providing banking loan products and advice to institutions ranging from small to mid-sized businesses, to the largest corporations. Includes major market middle market corporate banking, business banking, and corporate and transaction banking.
Job Responsibilities
Wealth Management (weight 70%): RM is responsible for acquiring and managing corporate clients with a focus on liability products such as current accounts, term deposits, cash management services, trade finance, and FX solutions. This role is designed to manage and grow liability relationships with foreign direct investment (FDI) from China and other countries in Vietnam and regional supply chain ecosystems, focus on cross-border banking solutions:

Job Responsibilities

This role is designed to manage and grow liability relationships with foreign direct investment (FDI) from China and other countries in Vietnam and regional supply chain ecosystems, focus on cross-border banking solutions:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients especially Chinese FDI, acquire new to bank and managing the portfolio growth.
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including Chinese investors, local partners, and regional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with China Desk of UOB in the region and facilitate banking solutions for regional trade flows, supply chain finance.
- Drive growth in current accounts, term deposits, FX and cash management services. Structure and customize for cross-border solutions.
- Actively drive for cash/casa/deposits, identify new corporate clients and business opportunities, monitor and executive the action plans in achieving overall target allocated.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML).
- Maintaining strong communication with external and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and onboard corporate clients with Chinese FDI, joint ventures, or regional supply chain linkages.
- Build long-term relationships with Chinese investors, local partners, and regional stakeholders
- Structure and execute credit facilities including term loans, working capital, project finance, and trade finance.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, credit assessments, and prepare credit proposals for approval.
- Collaborate with China Desk, GRM, Trade Finance, and Treasury teams to deliver integrated cross-border solutions.
- Monitor loan performance, conduct annual reviews, and manage renewals and restructurings.
- Ensure credit quality and proactively manage early warning signals.
- Ensure full compliance with internal credit policies, KYC/AML regulations, and cross-border lending rules.
- Fluency in Mandarin or familiarity with Chinese business culture is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance & Banking.
- 5–10 years of experience in corporate lending, liability products, cash management, cross-border banking products or credit analysis, preferably with exposure to FDI clients.
- Strong understanding of credit structuring, project finance, and cross-border banking.
- Customer-centric approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A strong & assertive communicator in speaking & writing.
