Get to Know the Team

Grab VN Controllership team is an experienced team responsible for good financial health. We review our practices and make efforts to improve the accuracy and timeliness of Grab's financial statements. The VN Controllership team strives to build a working environment that is, mutually supportive and ensuring of life - a long learning atmosphere through regular work rotation.

We have 8 members and cover multiple segments in Grab.

Get to Know the Role

You will be part of the VN Controllership team supporting Mobility, Enterprise & New Programs, and Country Support.

As a Finance partner, you will work with the business to support our goals and help management make important decisions to ensure its strategies align with financial goals.

You will work hybrid at Ho Chi Minh City.

You will report to the (Acting) Head of Vietnam Controllership

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Conduct month-end closing, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial reports.
• Monitor AR/AP and GL SSC teams to identify misstatements and coordinate corrections.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and support SOX, internal, and external audits.
• Partner with departments to advise on accounting impacts and financial optimization for new product launches or changes.
• Work with the Regional CFO office to review financial statements and flag anomalies.
• Work with the Regional FinOps team to manage automatic accounting flows and calculations, including revenue and tax formulas.
• Support SOX compliance and assist with other ad-hoc tasks (e.g., SBV filings, and tax memos).
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with ERP or Accounting systems.
• Financial knowledge with the ability to translate business inquiries into applicable financial analysis.
• 5 years experience in financial or business analysis, with experience supporting business teams.
• Can raise concerns or highlight opportunities for improvement.
  
  

The Nice-to-Haves

• Professional qualifications of ACCA or CPA Australia or ICAEW, Chief accountant qualification/ CPA VN qualification
• 2+ years of experience in Big4 audit firms
• Experience in environment/ industries such as FMCG, Retail, Fintech or startups
