About the Role

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the AI and multi-agent capabilities of CodeVista, helping to develop intelligent, autonomous AI systems that solve complex software engineering challenges. You will focus on building and optimizing multi-agent AI frameworks, ensuring agents can effectively plan, navigate, edit, and execute software development tasks autonomously.

This role requires strong expertise in machine learning, multi-agent architectures, and large-scale AI systems. Additionally, you will have opportunities to author research papers, publish patents, and protect our intellectual property as we push the boundaries of AI in software engineering.

Responsibilities/ Daily tasks you will take care

• Design, train, and optimize Large Language Models, for AI-driven software development tools.
• Develop and maintain scalable AI pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and inference of LLMs.
• Research and implement state-of-the-art techniques in AI for code understanding, generation, and refactoring.
• Develop a multi-agent AI system capable of planning, navigating, and executing complex software development tasks in real-world environments.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, and other frameworks to build and deploy autonomous AI agents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities, including multi-agent systems, into the CodeVista platform.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of AI models and agent-based systems to support a growing user base.
• Design and implement evaluation metrics to measure AI model and agent performance and their impact on developer workflows.
• Contribute to the research and development of new features and capabilities for CodeVista.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, multi-agent systems, and software engineering, and bring innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements/ Desired skills and experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or research, with a strong portfolio of AI projects.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
• Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and LLMs, with experience in fine-tuning and deploying them.
• Hands-on experience with multi-agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Experience in developing agent-based architectures for real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python, with strong hands-on software engineering skills—we need engineers who can write clean, efficient, and high-quality code at speed, not just those with theoretical knowledge.
• Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and AI pipeline development.
• Experience with cloud-based AI deployment and optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) with a focus on AI or related fields.
• Experience with distributed training of large-scale models.
• Familiarity with model serving/inference frameworks like vLLM, NVIDIA NIM, etc.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing multi-agent systems in real-world applications.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for deploying AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Codium, or Cursor, with the ability to provide deep insights on their effective use in development workflows. Candidates should understand their strengths, limitations, and best practices for integrating AI-assisted coding into real-world projects to enhance productivity.
