Coherent Vietnam, a branch of Coherent Corp., a global leader in engineered materials and optoelectronic components, is a vertically integrated manufacturing company that develops products for applications in the industrial, optical communications, aerospace and defence, life sciences, semiconductor capital equipment and consumer markets.

Coherent Vietnam is planning significant investments in the southern province of Dong Nai. We aim to develop high-tech projects in advanced optics and semiconductor (SiC) manufacturing. This initiative, located in Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park, involves an investment capital of hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars and is set to begin operations by the end of 2024.

1. PRE-ORDER REVIEW

• Pre-order technical review and cost evaluation, quote to customer on time
• Technical communication with sales/customer, pro-active to understand product application and customer requirement

2. MANUFACTURING/ ENGINEERING PROCESS MANAGEMENT

• Ensure the readiness, up-to-date and reliability of processes WI, WPS, BOM/Routing.
• Ensure P-FMEA was updated and apply on time.
• Trouble shooting on shop floor.
• New processes or process changes are evaluated, documented, and are compatible with corporate engineering and manufacturing information systems.
• Strict enforcement of manufacturing procedures & equipment operation though training & audits
• Leads and/or participates in resolutions or problem, which may be people, machinery or process related
• Train operators and technicians on technical aspects of process flow & equipment operation, including safety.
• Weekly review for improvement to meet target yield of process.
• Complete CAR and Task efficiently on time

3. PROCESS OPTIMISATION AND IMPROVEMENT

• QRB Project. Qualify for new material, machine, tooling, consumable, process (exclude measurement related)
• Improvement Project for cost saving and capability improvement
• Develop alternative material, tooling, consumable, machine
• Optimizing process to shorten cycle time Support P.I.C team for supply chain localize for cost saving

4. PROCESS CAPABILITY IMPROVEMENT

• Drive new product/process, new process technique.
• Organize actively trial for new process method, new tooling, new consumable

5. TECHNICAL

• Support QA for customer complaint investigation and improve (for engineering issue)
• Support Product Engineers for trouble shooting and do trial processes for improvement.
• Support Production team for abnormal issues

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences. The following specialisations in Engineering or Sciences are preferred: Mechanical Engineering; Mechatronics Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Material Sciences; Materials Engineering and other relevant specialisations.
• At least 5 years of related working experience in manufacturing environment with a highly technical, quality oriented, high volume, light-manufacturing environment. Working experience in Optical Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
