As a Styling Technical Convergence (STC) Engineer you will support the STC Manager to ensure that the design surfaces released from the studio engineering design practices and aligned technical inputs from theme selection phase through the entire design and development process up to final surface release.

You will be the link between the design studio and the module teams working closely with all departments to manage design surface issues and lead interior and exterior styling technical convergence meetings.

Position Responsibilities

• Arbitrate and drive smart solutions between styling and engineering teams.
• Manage and moderate styling / STC meetings between styling and engineering.
• Understand and lead technical input requirements & Ensure it during surface release milestones.
• Utilize benchmarking, knowledge and experience of full vehicle layout, legislative safety requirements, and sound design practices.
• Manage and document agreements between styling and engineering, raise and track critical issues.
• Provide technical solutions that encourage design intent while at the same time provide solid and feasible engineering solutions at sensible cost.
• Supporting VA / engineering and attribute teams during surface release milestones.
• Dealing with ESP studios to seek required output at required VF standards.

Position Requirements

• HND/HNC/ Batchlor of Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 7 years Catia V5 / Teamcenter experience.
• Previous experience in a vehicle package/ Ext./ Int. Eng. Design Or Studio engineering role.
• Familiarity with international vehicle regulations.
• Worked on full vehicle design life cycle from concept to production.
• Able to lead and manage meetings.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
• Must be proactive, adaptable, flexible, and able to multi-task
• Ability to effectively communicate design and strategy direction with cross functional teams
