Job Description:

As a Commercial Manager at WHP, you will be responsible for overseeing Sales and Marketing activities. Your main duties will include managing sales teams, driving team morale, ensuring sales targets are met, and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet the company's growth objectives.
  • Lead and manage the sales teams, including setting performance targets, monitoring progress, and providing regular feedback.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, distributors, and agents to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Drive market expansion through targeted regional and national campaigns.


Marketing Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that promotional activities align with sales goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Oversee branding initiatives and ensure that marketing messages are consistent across all channels.


Team Leadership and Morale:

  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment to maintain high morale within the sales team.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for team members to enhance performance


Performance Reporting:

  • Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to the Board to drive business growth.


Sales Target Achievement:

  • Ensure the team meets or exceeds set sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align efforts towards achieving financial goals.


Strategic Planning and Development:

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with senior management to align sales objectives with broader business goals.
  • Propose new business development opportunities and market entry strategies.


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years experience in Sales/Marketing
  • Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
  • Strong team management skills
  • Proven track record in driving sales and achieving targets
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
