Your Job

As an NPI Engineer, your primary purpose will center on connector and cable assembly new product design, supporting product development and manufacturing to drive innovation and reliability while bridging the gap between manufacturing plants and design centers.

Our Team

You will work within the DSS-CSBU division, collaborating with a dynamic network of professionals, including MIE, AQP, NPD Sourcing, indirect sourcing, NPI Process, PJM, Product Managers, and Program Management teams. Together, we focus on delivering high-quality connector and cable assembly solutions for global markets.

What You Will Do

• Drive new product development and manufacturing for DSS CSBU IO External cables.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to assess feasibility and plant capability for new concepts.
• Deliver engineering support for customer quality issues, ensuring product reliability and performance.
• Manage activities related to FOT, FSV, and DVP&R testing, promoting faster time-to-market for new products.
• Innovate product modifications and series expansions to increase market share and drive cost reductions.
• Partner with local and international vendors to ensure high-quality product execution.
• Conduct analysis activities such as proof-of-concept (POC) and failure analysis to enhance product outcomes.
• Work with process engineering teams to safeguard quality and design intent.
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 4 years of product design and development experience.
• Proficient in GD&T, Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA, DFM, and MSA.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide alternative solutions to achieve target specifications.
