Position Overview

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities within the Human Health Digital, Data, and Analytics (HHDDA) team can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Our HHDDA team is innovating how we understand our patients and their needs. Working cross functionally we are inventing new ways of communicating, measuring, and interacting with our customers and patients leveraging digital, data and analytics.

Our Asia Pacific Digital, Data, and Analytics (APDDA) group within HHDDA is seeking a highly motivated undergraduate intern to join our team and work on research project that involves data science. The intern will work closely with our modelling team and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand user needs and develop a data-driven solution leading to actionable insights.

• Professional Development The intern will gain hands-on experience in analytics and learn from practicing data science profession as he/she works on real-world problem. To add, the experience will also give the intern exposure to how data science fits within the larger business operations.

Education

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS program requiring temporary placement in the industry.
• Candidates must have completed at least (3) years of studies towards a Bachelor’s degree by June 2025.
• Candidates must be available to work full-time for 10 – 12 weeks beginning June of 2025.
  
  

Required Technical Experience And Skills

• Enrolled in BS program in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data science including completing courses in probability, linear algebra, statistics and machine learning
• Proven ability to approach complex problem and break them down into solvable tasks
• Strong mathematical background for analysis and modelling
• Proficiency in languages such as R and Python, including familiarity with data analysis and manipulation libraries
  
  

Preferred Technical Experience And Skills

• Knowledge of databases and data storage systems
• Familiarity or experience with version control system
• Having personal or academic data science projects – showcasing hands-on experience.
• Participating in data science competitions demonstrating practical skills and problem-solving abilities
  
  

Soft Skills

• Effective communication style to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
