• Prepare all administration documents required by the Banqueting sales and service team
• Attend to telephone, fax, email enquiries in a timely manner
• Maintain a correspondence data base (manual and electronic)
• Co-ordinate all families and site inspections as required
• Sell the hotel facilities and services with emphasis on the banqueting facilities
• Meet with clients and attend to the details of their events (including weddings; business meetings, small conferences; internal meetings and external meetings, etc)
• Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
• Liaise with interfacing departments to provide exceptional service for guests:

• Attend sales meetings and service briefings
• Provide input for hotel web design relating to Banqueting
• Assist with direct mail campaigns
• Maintenance and management of booking data base
• Assist with promotions and famils where requested
• Organise Trade shows, functions and exhibitions where applicable and advised by Superiors
• Assist with tender submissions
• Work with other ICHG properties and assist superiors including regional sales personnel to sell their properties
• Liaison with advertising agency where applicable
• Stock control of collateral
• Maintain and update promotional flyers
• Maintain stock of printed material
• Assist with the preparation of new products and services
• Distributes sales leads
• Work in line with business needs
• Work with Manager to achieve departmental revenue targets

• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
• Problem solving and training abilities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field.

Experience: 

• 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
