The Business School
The Business School is the largest School in RMIT Vietnam with approximately eight thousand students on two campuses (Ho Chi Minh Saigon South and Hanoi). The school has three departments, more than 130 academic staff, four research fellows and 25 Professional staff. In terms of programs there are four bachelor programs, two PGCert programs, two Master programs and two PhD programs. Each department has one program and the fourth program has nine majors supported across the departments. The school is one of five schools of the RMIT College of Business and Law, Melbourne.
There are six research clusters in the school, three hubs and a forward plan will seek to conflate this structure to a Digital technologies centre and sustainability cluster, with Tourism and Hospitality spanning both domains. The expertise and research foci of the school are blockchain, cryptocurrencies, cybersecurity, smart cities, sustainability, and these contribute to the four RMIT pillars for research.
Recent growth areas have been in research and corporate education (AACSB accreditation is expected in 2024). Staff are currently transitioning into semester teaching whilst the school maintains three intakes and delivery. A new workload allocation framework is now applied to accommodate these developments.
Position Summary
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Logistic and Supply Chain Management contributes to Teaching and Research, and Engagement in the Business Innovation Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the program to meet the needs of students and other stakeholders, ensure a consistent level of research is undertaken to support relevant research clusters in the Business School. He/She may deliver courses across related programs as directed.
The incumbent also contributes to the strategic direction setting of the program, department, and School by working collaboratively with other relevant department members to plan and develop courses, programs, and engagement activities. The successful candidate occasionally assists the Senior Program Manager with administrative decisions and tasks.
The scope of responsibilities includes supporting the formulation of strategic planning for the program, course management, where needed, quality assurance, student relationship management, human resource management, program budgeting and resource management and research planning.
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will act in accordance with the Academic Expectations framework of RMIT University Vietnam.

- PhD or equivalent relevant Doctoral qualification
- Broad and in-depth knowledge in Logistic and Supply Chain Management discipline particularly the following areas:
- Operations Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Production Management
- Industrial Engineering

- Supply Chain Technologies
- Business Innovation
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
- Ability to undertake course coordination and development roles.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning.
- Established track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing program and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
- Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to operate within own discipline and cross-disciplinary/multidisciplinary teams to achieve department and University strategic outcomes.
- Ability to motivate, develop and inspire others through discipline leadership in the University environment

To be considered for a position at RMIT Vietnam in The Business School, you will need to be able to meet the following research criteria.
- For candidates with a PhD awarded more than 5 years ago: you will be expected to demonstrate a minimum of 2 peer reviewed journal articles, of which must be ranked in Scimago or ABDC and preferably both in Q1/A ranking or equivalent.
- For candidates with a PhD awarded within the last 3- 5 years although there are no requirements of peer reviewed journal articles for publication, you need to be research active in relevant research areas.
- For candidates with a PhD awarded within the last 3 years, although there are no requirements you are expected to be research active.

Work Permit: All foreign employees must adhere to the requirements for obtaining a valid visa and work permit in Vietnam. These requirements are mandated by the Government and may be over and above the mandatory requirements and key selection criteria. Work permit requirements are subject to change. RMIT Vietnam accepts zero tolerance to non-adherence of the immigration laws of Vietnam.
English Proficiency: English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 7.0 with no band less than 6.5.
Location of work: Please note that the successful candidate may be required to work in either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City based on business requirements. The specific working location will be subject to discussion and agreement with the selected candidates in advance
