Your Role
The Audio/Visual Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the various audio/visual assets at RMIT Vietnam. These include classrooms, meeting rooms, video conferencing as well as other audio/visual systems, etc.
This role will also be working with business users to clarify the learning & teaching requirements, then support AV Specialist to build up the complete solution.
Reports to: ITS Customer Services Manager
Key Accountabilities
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).

Your Role
The Audio/Visual Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the various audio/visual assets at RMIT Vietnam. These include classrooms, meeting rooms, video conferencing as well as other audio/visual systems, etc.
This role will also be working with business users to clarify the learning & teaching requirements, then support AV Specialist to build up the complete solution.
Reports to: ITS Customer Services Manager
Key Accountabilities
- Provide second level support and be an escalation point for audio visual issues across RMIT Vietnam.
- Work with external vendors on the delivery, implementation, and handover of new AV projects.
- Work with internal stakeholder on the planning, delivery, implementation, and handover for room refresh projects (BAU).
- Ensure the alignment with AV Standards and strategies from Global.
- Provide support to AV Specialist on new AV initiatives and prepare implementation plans.
- Document and maintain AV user educational literacy, such as room operational guides, training demo videos and online FAQ assistance for AV technologies.
- Liaise with customers and stakeholders requesting AV design services, understand and capture the business needs and operational requirements.
- Complete regular and ongoing reassessments and analysis of AV and provide input and recommendations for continuous improvement of tools and or processes.
- Adhere to AV design procedures and activities and ensure that solutions can meet the ITS service level Agreements.
- Managing AV documentation resources to include room information, schematics, equipment lists, technical and operational manuals, and AV software.
- A Bachelor degree in relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience within a Technical AV environment working on large scale projects including Vendor Management.
- Demonstrated AV installation experience, project management experience desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in AV technical knowledgebase, and CAD packages.
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and delivery a quality service to the University.
- Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence – Improve and Simplify; Imagination and Innovation; Impact; Inclusion; Agility).
- Contract duration: 10 months
