OBJECTIVES

We are looking for an experienced Game Designer (Contractor) with a strong focus on designing economy and monetization systems for hybrid-casual mobile music games. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative problem-solver who excels in creating engaging systems and is eager to share their knowledge with the team.
This role involves not only designing high-quality systems but also mentoring team members to enhance their expertise in-game economy and monetization design.

What You Will Do

Economy and Monetization Design
Develop well-balanced, scalable game economy systems that enhance player engagement and retention.
Design innovative monetization mechanics suited to hybrid-casual mobile music games.
Clearly articulate the reasoning behind design decisions to team members, fostering a shared understanding of game economy design principles.
Expected Outcomes:
A comprehensive, balanced in-game economy that supports hybrid-casual gameplay and promotes long-term player engagement.
Monetization systems that maximize revenue while enhancing the player experience within the context of a mobile music game.
Clear and concise Game Design Documents outlining the game’s economy, monetization mechanics, and player progression systems.
Well-structured UX flows that illustrate player interactions with the economy and how they align with the overall gameplay experience.
Detailed Jira tasks that break down the design components into actionable steps for smooth collaboration and task tracking.
Collaboration and Iteration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, artists, and analysts, to ensure successful implementation of economic systems.
This includes:Daily Collaboration during key phases, such as the initial design phase or critical iteration phases, to ensure alignment and quick feedback cycles.
Weekly Collaboration during less intensive phases, such as post-launch live operations, to monitor progress and refine designs efficiently.
Continuously iterate and refine designs based on feedback, playtesting, and data analysis.
Expected Outcomes:
Seamless integration of economic systems across disciplines ensures technical feasibility and creative alignment.
Regular improvements to the game economy based on player behavior data and team feedback, lead to measurable boosts in retention, monetization, and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in designing game economies and monetization systems for mobile hybrid-casual games.
Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of player behavior and engagement drivers.
Excellent communication and mentorship skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Proficiency in balancing creativity and practical implementation.

Portfolio showcasing mobile rhythm games.
Experience working on a successful mobile rhythm game.
