Objectives
- This position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end planning activities, which include collaboration with multiple high level stakeholders such as the Regional Sales Director, Marketing Managers, and Senior Logistics Leaders. The Demand Planning role encompasses all forecasting activities related to products, geographical regions, and sales areas.
- The Demand Planner is tasked with creating and maintaining forecast models for retailers (GT), integrating business intelligence and forecast data gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. This role serves as the talent pool for Senior Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager positions within the organization.
- As the integration point into the sales and commercial organization, the Demand Planner is responsible for basic forecast modeling. This position leads the monthly dialogue with key counterparts in Sales, Commercial and Marketing regarding their respective customers and products.
Scope of Work
- Develop effective forecast models based on demand patterns.
- Collaborate closely with Sales to incorporate changes or business opportunities into forecasts.
- Manage the end-to-end planning process as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle by working with stakeholders such as Sales, Marketing, and Sourcing to develop the consensus plan (Tactical/Operational forecasts).
- Communicate the plan and monitor the execution performance.
- Continuously monitor and propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Effectively communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Monitor and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Address demand-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Create models and tools for demand forecasting.
- Develop reports and dashboards for performance management, analyzing business trends and insights to improve the overall demand planning process and forecast quality.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI, with a willingness to learn or enhance coding skills in these languages.
- Preferably 3 or more years of experience, with a minimum of 1 year in IBP, S&OP, Demand Planning, or Demand Forecasting.
- Experience in FMCG is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen with the ability to drive cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, model, and interpret data.
