- Effectively communicate and coordinate with the Homeroom Teacher in order to assist in daily lesson plans.
- Support individuals or groups of students during lessons as directed by the Homeroom Teacher.
- Supervising the groups of children in other areas of the school library, hall, etc.
- Assisting with the supervision of children on trips, swimming, lunch time, playtime, etc.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the Homeroom Teacher about students, ensuring all such information is kept confidential.
- Ensure a smooth start and end to the day by being proactive and using initiative to support the Homeroom Teacher and students.
- Ensure classroom resources are organized and accessible.
- Support in other classes as requested.
- Assist the Homeroom Teacher in the positive behavior management of the class.
- Be available to answer parent questions as appropriate if the Homeroom Teacher is not available and to keep the teacher informed, remembering to use discretion and professionalism at all times.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
