Your Job

The primary purpose of the Vision Engineer role is to research and design programs for automation machines, particularly those that employ vision inspection or vision systems to support robotic operations.

Our Team

This role is part of the C&CS division located in Vietnam and reports to the Automation team leader/SV. The Vision Engineer will work closely with teams involved in Quality Control (QC), production, suppliers, and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) from Japan and Korea, ensuring smooth collaboration and the integration of advanced technologies into production lines.

What You Will Do2. Trouble shooting & problem solving for all related issue of quality, technical due to machine, jig tool assembly on production line during the trial & pre-MP phase3. Continue improvement for quality up, productivity up and cost down5. Support to supplier to solve issue during setup or trial new machine & new process

• Development process concept for new vision inspection device. Design PLC program for automation system, coding C++ for robotic and Vision system. New technology study & develop to apply in production
• Design process, workflow for inspection machine
• Building electrical hardware and programming control software for Automation machine
• Research and development programs for robots, high-speed microprocessor programs, image analysis programs using CCD sensor
• Build detail requirement & co-operate with outside supplier to design machine.
• Build operation instructions for production line, machine setting condition document
• Join building machine, debug, adjustment & improvement process with supplier or pilot team
• Mass trial run & mass production machine readiness preparation. Continue follow up the production feedback after MP running.
• Study, research new technology to apply to production machine, equipment
• Troubleshooting to ensure the operation of equipment, machine
• Diagnose, analyse for trouble, error arising on production line
• Co-operate with process engineer, production & quality team to improve capability, ability & performance of current MP equipment, machine.
• New machine design feedback to solve current machine chronic issue (quality & productivity)
• Equipment, BOM list, I/O map management
• Release BOM list and making assembly diagram to order part to build up machine
• Ensure I/O map latest version & correspond with actual machine condition
  
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• Possess a university degree in a relevant field.
• Have at least 3 years of experience in automation engineering, with proficiency in designing PLC programs and coding in C++.
• Ability to read and create technical documents and diagrams (DWG).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation equipment.
• Proficient in MS Office software and capable of communicating in English.
  
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead:

• A degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working in a manufacturing company or with automation design, particularly in roles such as Automation Engineer or Programming Engineer.
• Capability to speak Japanese is an advantage.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work overtime when needed.
