Position: Sourcing Supervisor (Direct Materials)

Location: Thang Long I IP, Hanoi (Daily Shuttle from Hanoi center)

Reports To: Senior Manager

Supervises: Sourcing Engineer

Contacts: Internal teams, suppliers, customers, Molex entities, and local authorities

Role Overview

As a Sourcing Supervisor, you will lead the MXV Regional Category Management team in implementing sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, and compliance with global standards. This role is critical in ensuring seamless procurement processes and supporting new product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MXV RCM team to execute sourcing strategies and procurement plans.
• Identify, qualify, and select suppliers through rigorous evaluation processes.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global category managers to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Support new product introductions and product transfers by sourcing new suppliers as required.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct annual business reviews with key partners.
• Perform market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards, including PBM Guiding Principles, Molex TQM, ISO, EH&S, and Social Responsibility requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes and supplier management.
• Handle other assignments as directed by the CCS Sourcing Supervisor or Plant Manager.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electronics, Mechanical, etc.) or business-related discipline.
  
  
  

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: 6+ years in sourcing within an electronics or electrical manufacturing environment.
  
  
  

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procurement/sourcing practices.
• Ability to create procedures, processes, and standards.
• Familiarity with international and local laws.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written), planning, problem-solving, training, coaching, and leadership.
• Kaizen and innovation mindset.
• Understanding and implementation of ISO, CSR, and RBA requirements.
• Preferred: Ability to multitask and demonstrate strong entrepreneurial skills.
