The DevSecOps - Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for the management, support, and operational integrity of our cloud computing environment. This role involves deploying, maintaining, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure. The engineer will use monitoring tools like Datadog to oversee our systems efficiently. Additionally, the role requires integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline to ensure secure software development and deployment. The engineer will conduct security assessments, implement security tools, and collaborate with the security team to maintain compliance with security policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, and manage cloud-based systems and architectures (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Monitor cloud services and environments using advanced tools such as Datadog and Rollbar to ensure availability, performance, and security.
• Implement automation tools for efficient cloud operations, including resource provisioning, scaling, and management.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud services into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform regular system audits, backups, and disaster recovery operations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT Team to implement and maintain security measures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.
• Optimize cloud spending and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Document cloud architectures, procedures, and processes.
• Integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline to ensure secure software development and deployment.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, SRE, or a similar position.
• Proven experience in managing cloud services and operations.
• Strong knowledge of major cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST).

Good to have

• Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and cloud security models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications in cloud security (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Certified Information Systems
• Security Professional (CISSP).
