Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated EDI ITX Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) to design, develop, and maintain complex data integration solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data mapping, translation, and transformation processes, along with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain EDI mapping solutions using IBM Transformation Extender (ITX).
• Design, Implement and Support diverse integration solutions and transformation programs that address complex business requirements using the IBM WebSphere Transformation eXtender (WTX) in an environment involving WebSphere Message Broker.
• Analyse technical specifications and translate them into EDI maps.
• Manage all technical components of large integration projects to include implementation of WTX components including Map Designer, Type Designer
• Develop and implement data transformation processes to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange between systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, and other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of EDI transactions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for EDI-related issues and work to resolve any data integration problems.
• Document EDI processes, mappings, and workflows to ensure proper knowledge transfer and system maintenance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in EDI and data integration technologies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an EDI Developer, with a focus on IBM Transformation Extender (ITX). WTX (V8.2 or higher), SQL
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12, JSON, XML, POS) and communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP, REST & SOAP).
• Experience and strong understanding of SI Lightwell Framework.
• Understanding of creating inbound and outbound envelopes for trading partners.
• Proficiency in designing and developing EDI maps and transformations using ITX.
• Experience with data mapping, translation, and transformation tools.
• Solid understanding of database management systems and SQL.
• Good experience in Map Designer, Type Designer and Database Interface Designer.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in WTX components.
• Understanding of Component Rules and other validation techniques in Type Designer.
• Experience on development using XML technologies: XSD, DTD, XSD is a must.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining codelists.
• Good to have basic knowledge on Azure Functionapp/Logicapp.
• Extensive knowledge of test data creation and test case execution
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with additional data integration tools and technologies (e.g., Gentran, Sterling Integrator, SAP PI).
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and other data formats.
• Understanding of the GEFEG Edifact mapping specifications
• Experience on working with any SI & ITAC Framework.
• Experience with cloud-based EDI solutions and services.
