Director of Design – Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire design of the complex project.
- Ensure feasibility for construction and adherence to current applicable standards.
- Provide solutions for any design-related issues without impacting the contractor's progress in case of technical problems.
- Developing operational plans for the Design Management Department in line with developmental direction and its mission.
- Reviewing design proposals from the Design Consultants to ensure alignment with reality, design portfolios, and Planning Ideas as per the guidance of the Board President.
- Leading design-related meetings within the company and on-site, proactively addressing arising design issues and timely reporting to the Leadership Board.
- Coordinating design progress and its economic feasibility, overseeing the project's overall requirements and collaborating with project management departments to handle on-site issues.
- Acting as the focal point for providing project designs for the Legal Procedures Department and Financial Board for documentation purposes, as well as serving the Sales Business Board (construction drawings, completion records as requested by clients, if applicable).
- Researching and proposing new technological solutions for design and construction control.
Requirements
- Graduation from a university or higher in Architecture.
- Working experience at a Design Consultancy or Real Estate Developer.
- Experience in managing design in complex projects
- Directly involved or led high-rise complex projects such as shopping centers, hotels, and luxury residences. Particularly experienced in 5-star or higher standard international hotel operator (Accor, IHG, Marriott, Hilton....)
