Your role will be instrumental in helping us achieve our vision by protecting our business interests and fostering trust within the industry

Position Overview

The Legal Counsel will oversee all legal-related work within iKame, with a focus on ensuring that our products and features comply with international regulations and platform policies. This role will also develop and implement intellectual property (IP) strategies that align with the company's long-term business goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solution-oriented legal expert with experience in the mobile game and app industry, as well as a deep understanding of IP and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure that iKame’s mobile games, apps, and new features comply with international laws, platform policies, and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advise on regulatory risks and conduct regular audits to ensure continued compliance.
• Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy:
• Develop and manage an IP strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and supports new product launches and feature development.
• Oversee IP protection, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, and advise on potential infringement issues.
• Contract Management:
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements, including licensing, distribution, and development agreements, ensuring favorable terms and legal soundness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage risk exposure in contracts and agreements with partners and vendors.
• Risk Management and Dispute Resolution:
• Proactively identify potential legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and handle disputes, including those related to IP infringement, regulatory compliance, and platform violations.
• Represent iKame in any litigation matters and collaborate with external counsel as necessary.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Development:
• Provide legal counsel to internal stakeholders on regulatory and legal developments impacting the mobile game and app industry.
• Develop and implement internal policies that reflect best practices in compliance, IP protection, and ethical business conduct.
• Act as the leader in the area of Legal Compliance
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent legal qualification.
• Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in the field of IT Product Development, preferably in mobile game and app development
• Willingness to advance the career as a Leader
• Proven experience in regulatory compliance, IP strategy, and contract management, with a solid understanding of both local and international regulations impacting digital and mobile platforms.
• Preferable experience with Google Play Store and Apple App Store policies
• You are adaptable, positive, possess a can-do spirit, quick action and ability to drive
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Solution-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
