About our Bioinformatics Trainee Program 2024

BioTuring is an innovative bioinformatics company creating advanced algorithms and software to support scientists from hundreds of pharmaceutical companies and leading research institutions, enabling discoveries about human diseases.

Our annual program aims to provide a solid foundation in core bioinformatics, foster collaboration with leading international bioinformaticians, and nurture a deep passion for the field.

• Over 3 days you will be trained by world-class bioinformaticians:

  • Pavel Pevzner (Program Advisor), Ronald R. Tylor Chair and Distinguished Professor, Computer Science, UC San Diego.

  • Fred Gage, Adler Professor, Laboratory of Genetics, Salk Institute.

  • Son Pham, CEO and Chief Scientist, BioTuring Inc.

  • Phillip Compeau, Assistant Department Head and an Associate Teaching Professor, Computational Biology Department, Carnegie Mellon University.

  • Boyko Kakaradov, Oligo Design and Informatics Platform Head, GSK.

About our selection process

• Application via: shorturl.at/lBR9x. Application is now open until 15 October 2024!

• Second round Assessments:

  • Candidates with non-coding skills: Logic Assessments.

  • Candidates with coding skills: Coding Assessments.

• Third round Assessment: Behavioral Interview.

• Final round Assessment: The successful candidates will go through a 3 day workshop and working group with expert bioinformaticians.

• Final interview.

Are you the ideal candidate for Bioinformatics Trainee Program 2024?

• Biology major with a Mathematical mind.

• Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics major and driven to decode the mysteries of human diseases.

• GPA >3/4 or 7/10.

• Junior, senior students or less than 1 year of work experience.

• Available to work full-time starting from November 2024.
