Job Purpose and Impact

The Lab Technician position will lead the completion of routine analytical and laboratory testing of new products in support of the Research and Development teams. The laboratory technician is responsible for receiving and preparing samples for testing as well as documenting results of tests and communicating those results. You will also be responsible for checking and monitoring the instruments and equipment that is used during the testing process.

Key Accountabilities

• Receive, prepare and process sample for laboratory testing.

• Conducts complex inspections for new product properties utilizing laboratory equipment and various analytical methods.

• Understands and complies with safety regulations and other procedural compliance regulations.

• Maintains inventory management for laboratory supplies and cleaning of lab areas and equipment.

• Interprets and documents results of all tests and internally communicates results verbally and/or in writing as required.

• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members.

• Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
