- Work with Procurement Manager to establish supplier terms & conditions and develop supply chain strategy.
- Ensure accurate bookings and purchases orders are released to suppliers on time. Manage team to get material in house on time as On Time Tracking (OTT) agreed with right quality. Ensure that merchandising team is receiving booking yardage yield (YY)’s on time.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the team in solving problems with suppliers and involve at the right time to make sure problem solved properly. Ensure that the team maintains the Issue Log in a timely manner. Apply systematic problem solving to lead/ teach/ kaizen for team.
- Coordinate with Incoming Quality Assurance, Sample Room, and Quality Assurance to resolve raw material's quality issues.  Liaise with customers for commercial approvals in certain cases.
- Work with Merchandising Operations teams on order receiving and procurement execution.
- Attend to and provide solutions to issues highlighted by production plants by e-mails, or daily morning meeting minutes.
- Evaluate suppliers quarterly to ensure their service is up to the requirement and if any claim that needs to recover from suppliers will be monitored and sorted out accordingly, and ensure all claims are recovered from suppliers.
- Initiate and carry out left over reducing, cost savings and process improvement projects Quickly recover from customers' claims
- Ensure 5S standards are maintaining in the working areas and surroundings.
- Manage and develop team by identifying training needs, implementing individual development plan (IDP), evaluating their performance and setting up their career development plan.
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager.
