Position Overview

We are on the hunt for a dynamic and passionate AI Research and Development Intern to explore the utilization of AI technologies in enhancing game development processes. While the role primarily focuses on researching existing AI tools suitable for game development, there is also the possibility to engage in model training, machine learning, and visual recognition tasks. The intern will proactively assess and prototype AI solutions in game engines such as Unity or Unreal and participate in the integration of AI pipelines to boost productivity and innovation within our game creation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate market and open-source AI tools for game development
• Experiment with AI in Unity and Unreal to optimize workflows
• Prototype ML models for 2D/3D visual recognition in games
• Analyze AI tool performance and suggest process improvements
• Stay current on AI trends in game tech and share insights with the team
• Familiar with cloud gaming and lightweight delivery models
• Support cross-platform research on AI performance and compatibility
  
  

Skills and Qualifications

• Currently a 3rd or 4th year student majoring in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or Game Development, holding passion for blending AI technologies with game development
• Able to work independently on research tasks and collaborate effectively within a team
• Strong communication and documentation skills to clearly convey research findings and technical insight practices to effectively communicate research findings and technical developments
• Hands-on experience with Unity, Unreal Engine (a plus)
• Proficient in programming (C#, C++, Python, or similar), with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with machine learning, model training, or computer vision through academic projects or hands-on work
• Passion for gaming and strong grasp of gameplay mechanics and user experience
• Involved in building or improving AI pipelines for game integration
• Worked with designers/devs on AI-driven gameplay features
• Understanding of 3D rendering, real-time graphics, or game engine tech
• Familiar with AI concepts like procedural content generation, reinforcement learning, or LLMs in gaming
