- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet technical specifications, quality standards, and cost requirements.
- Work directly with R&D engineers and suppliers to accelerate product development, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Take ownership of the product development process for new products, managing from initial idea through to market release.
- Manage and take responsibility for product cost, consistently seeking opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and potential suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and favorable conditions with suppliers to optimize costs and collaboration.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance; stay updated on market trends and industry developments to recommend sourcing strategies.
- Report regularly to Sourcing manager & department management on sourcing activities and issues.
