Summary:

The Supplier Sustainability Officer will be responsible for ESG’s supplier engagement and reporting to Global Supply Chain Director. The person would take ownership of Sonion’s supply chain program on emission reduction toward 2030 goals and the supplier-related initiatives on social and governance compliance. She/He is expected to work on ESG topics in supply chain, having knowledge and experience on corporate Carbon Emission Inventory and Product Carbon Footprint calculations. Candidates with international exposure to EU and US regulations in the area is preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

Building capacity at suppliers – creating awareness on ESG topics, especially on CO2 emissions.

• Spearhead and manage Sonion’s supplier sustainability programs, coordinating Sonion’s compliance & sustainability team with supplier base.

• Perform analysis to identify gaps and challenges posed by Sonion’s expectation vs supply base for relevant ESG KPIs

• Build productive partnerships and collaborate with our suppliers to share knowledge, build capacity, and to engage them in creating awareness on ESG topics, especially on CO2 emissions; aiming an integrated supply chain.

• Deliver supply chain’s compliance & sustainability training to external partners/suppliers, and internal stakeholders to promote compliance & sustainable practices; and encourage behavioral changes within the organizations, making sure to reach our sustainability objectives.

Working with suppliers on emissions inventory. Overall (scope 1-3) and per product (lifecycle assessment)

Working with suppliers on decarbonization scenarios – long term planning and a regular follow up

Working with suppliers on social and governance initiatives

• Lead projects to deploy carbon reduction strategy/plan with suppliers, including reduction objectives, action plans specific to each supplier. Closely follow up with suppliers and monitor progress vs expectation/targets.

• Convey long-term carbon reduction plans with suppliers and ensure legal/regulatory/customer compliance of suppliers regarding and decarbonization.

• Identify further opportunities for carbon reduction that can be proposed to suppliers. Engage, train and update suppliers on Sonion’s sustainability strategy, refine mid- and long-term objectives and monitor implementation

• Conduct research, market analysis on global and local supplier sustainability trends, ensuring readiness and agility in reacting to emerging requirements/regulations/practices, improving supply chain sustainability and performance.

• Responsible for the development, update and implementation of supply chain policies, guidelines, plans and procedures, reflecting compliance and sustainability supply chain strategy.

• Plan and manage implementation of supply chain initiatives and services in the sustainability and resilience areas, in close cooperation with key internal stakeholders and ESG team.

• Lead supplier sustainability audit; collect and share best practices through good communication with supply chain partners.

• Collect & validate the data collection of emission inventory, decarbonization in the supply chain. Analyse the data and work with internal & external consultant to evaluate and demonstrate the impact

• Manage supply chain compliance and sustainability performance KPIs; analyze the performance, identify areas of improvements, and make data driven recommendations.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

1. Education:

- Required: Degree or qualification in SC management, or sustainability/environmental management

- Preferable: Candidates with knowledge and experience in GHG inventory tools/standards/best practice and strong drive towards decarbonization

2. Professional knowledge:

- Have 5+ years of experience working with supply chain on ESG topics, having knowledge on corporate Carbon Emissions Inventory and Product Carbon Footprint calculations. International exposure to EU and US regulations in the area.

- Understanding SC principles, including Procurement, Demand planning, Purchasing and Logistics.

- Proven experience in working with diverse stakeholders and coordinating works and analyses with a variety of input sources.

- Ability to work independently towards challenging targets and strict deadlines.

- Excellent oral and communication skills

3. Knowledge of computer servicing: Microsoft Office, Power Query, Power BI

4. Knowledge of foreign languages: Fluent English language skills.

5. Other (e.g. competences):

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

6. Professional experience: At least 05 years experienced working with supply chain on ESG topics.
