KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job summary

The Receiving Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the receipt and inspection of goods and materials delivered to the company. This role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected for quality, and properly stored. Key responsibilities include:

1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify the accuracy and quality of goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.

2. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of received goods, including logging details into inventory management systems and preparing necessary documentation such as receiving reports and inventory adjustments.

3. Inventory Management: Ensure that all received items are correctly stored in designated areas, following proper inventory management practices. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control to address any issues.

4. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure that received items meet company standards and specifications. Report any issues with product quality to relevant departments.

5. Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and other departments to resolve any issues related to shipments, including discrepancies, returns, and damaged goods.

6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and regulations when handling and storing goods. Ensure that all activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

7. Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, including procurement, warehousing, and finance, to provide updates on received goods and address any concerns or issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus).

• Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
