This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Engineer in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The professional will contribute to one of the following areas: backend development, frontend development, DevOps, artificial intelligence (AI), embedded development, automation test, or mobile app development, focusing on fields like Camera AI, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform development, or Smarthome solutions. Responsibilities include developing software solutions, designing microservices or micro frontends, implementing design patterns, creating automated test scripts, developing firmware or mobile applications, and programming in one of Java, Go, Python, C/C++, JavaScript/ReactJS, Kotlin, or Swift.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in software development and programming in at least one of: Java, Go, Python, C/C++ (for backend/DevOps/AI/embedded/automation test), JavaScript with ReactJS (for frontend), or Kotlin/Swift (for mobile app)
• Experience in one of: backend development, frontend development, DevOps, AI, embedded development, automation test, or mobile app development, preferably with exposure to Camera AI, IoT, Platform development, or Smarthome solutions
• Knowledge of at least one framework relevant to the chosen language (e.g., Spring for Java, Gin for Go, Django for Python, ReactJS for frontend, TensorFlow for AI, or Jetpack Compose/SwiftUI for mobile app)
• Familiarity with microservices (backend), micro frontend (frontend), AI model deployment (AI), test automation frameworks (automation test), firmware development (embedded), or mobile app architectures (mobile app) and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a regular university program, with a classification of Good or Excellent
• TOEIC score of 550 or equivalent (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, or other recognized English proficiency certifications)
• Experience in the telecommunications, IoT, camera, or defense industry is a plus
• Preferred: High school specialization in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, or Chemistry with city, national, or international awards

• For Backend roles:
• Proficiency in Java and Golang for backend development
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC) for Java or Gin, Echo, or Fiber for Golang
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Knowledge of JWT for authentication/authorization
• Proficiency in protocols like TCP/UDP, gRPC, WebRTC, HLS, P2P, or video streaming is a plus
• Deep understanding of data structure design, database design, and query optimization for SQL and NoSQL databases
• Security practices: Knowledge of mitigating SQL injection, CSRF, and API vulnerabilities is a plus

• For Frontend roles:
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS
• Experience with ReactJS for component-based, scalable web applications, including state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and hooks
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles for intuitive, responsive interfaces
• Experience with micro frontend architectures
• Familiarity with integrating with Java-based backends (e.g., Spring REST APIs or Play Framework) is a plus
• Knowledge of web performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility
• Security practices: Knowledge of mitigating cross-site scripting (XSS), clickjacking, and secure client-side storage is a plus

• For DevOps roles:
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, networking, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack)
• Expertise in deploying/optimizing at least one of: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB, or Redis
• Deep knowledge of Linux, firewall configurations, SOC (Security Operations Center) systems, and physical infrastructure is a plus
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CEH, CHFI) are a plus
• Security practices: Knowledge of secure container configurations, network segmentation, and secret management (e.g., Vault) is a plus

• For AI roles:
• Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks/libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for advanced AI applications
• Understanding of model optimization, data preprocessing, and training pipelines for AI models
• Experience with algorithms for image processing AI (e.g., face recognition, license plate recognition, traffic flow counting, or traffic violation detection) is a plus
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools like n8n, Model Context Protocol (MCP) for standardized AI-tool integrations, or Agent-to-Agent Protocol (A2A) for multi-agent communication is a plus
• Security practices: Knowledge of securing AI model endpoints, data privacy (e.g., GDPR compliance), and adversarial attack mitigation is a plus

• For Embedded roles:
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming with at least 1 year of experience
• Experience in designing and implementing network protocols at the TCP and UDP layers, including techniques for managing packet loss, delay, and jitter
• Knowledge of streaming protocols and standards such as STUN, RTP, RTSP, HLS, WebRTC, P2P, or cloud recording
• Familiarity with firmware development, media standards (e.g., video/audio encoding, framing, ARG, FEC), and protocol optimization for reliability and performance
• Ability to integrate C/C++ code with: Mobile apps via JNI for iOS, Android, Flutter, or React. Backend systems using Java or Golang
• Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures for scalable IoT platforms
• Strong understanding of software design principles, ensuring high performance, scalability, and code quality
• Research-oriented mindset with interest in exploring new protocols, patents, and academic publications (experience in publishing papers or filing patents is a plus)
• Security practices: Knowledge of securing embedded systems, firmware vulnerabilities, and secure boot mechanisms is a plus

• For Automation Test roles:
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, k6, or JMeter
• Experience in writing automated test scripts for functional, integration, performance, and load testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for automated testing (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) and UI testing for web applications
• Understanding of test case design, defect tracking, and test reporting using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr
• Experience with testing microservices or web applications in environments like Camera AI, IoT, or Smarthome is a plus
• Security practices: Knowledge of testing for security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) is a plus

• For Mobile App roles:
• Proficiency in Kotlin (for Android) and/or Swift (for iOS) for mobile app development
• Experience with mobile app frameworks such as Jetpack Compose (for Android) or SwiftUI (for iOS)
• Knowledge of mobile app architectures (e.g., MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture) and design patterns
• Familiarity with integrating mobile apps with backend APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL) and C/C++ code via JNI for Camera AI or IoT features
• Experience in developing responsive, user-friendly mobile interfaces with a focus on UI/UX principles
• Knowledge of cross-platform development using Flutter or React Native is a plus
• Understanding of mobile app performance optimization, memory management, and platform-specific guidelines (e.g., Android Material Design, iOS Human Interface Guidelines)
• Security practices: Knowledge of securing mobile app data, secure storage, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, biometric authentication) is a plus
