YOUR TASKS:

DHL Customers

Provide professional security and support in resolving shipment-related queries
Co-ordinate and conduct customer tours of facilities to highlight the level of security invested in by DHL.

Operations Manager, Hub Management

Ensure all Country and Hub/Gateway security policies are compatible and standardized.
Conduct ongoing review of process and infrastructure to ensure all security risks are minimized.

Security Vendors

Source appropriate security vendors with respect to the purchase of security equipment
Monitor and audit the security services provided and maintain a monthly performance report

Law Enforcement, Security Officials, Airport Authorities, Local Authorities & Regulatory Bodies,

Establish professional liaison to maintain strong links between DHL and such authorities.

All DHL Hub, Gateway, Country Office Staff, Retail Service Points

Enlist the support of all DHL staff to ensure that DHL’s environment is safe and secure
Ensure all changes in regulations, procedures, requirements, policies, and personnel that relate to security issues in Hub, Gateway, and any DHL servicing points are updated.

Security Managers at other DHL locations

Liaise closely with local, regional, and global team members to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
Assist and support in all security matters related to cargo screening

Country Office

Provide regular updates on security issues
Provide a periodic security update and, by this, ensure representation of specific country's needs in the regional plans and initiatives
Ensure compliance with regional security policies and procedures

Security Audits

Carry out audits and initiate corrective action required to maintain the maximum security level in the Hub, Gateway Service Centers, and Retail points/outlets.
Maintain TAPA “A” standard security accreditation
Ensure compliance with aviation and cargo security regulations

Security Training Development

Develop and implement specialist training for cargo security screening
Monitor implementation of security training programs, in particular, the CIS Security Awareness training program in the country

Business Continuity & Contingency Plans

Regularly review existing manuals and propose appropriate changes/amendments to support current security needs

Driving Security Excellence

Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and security practices to safeguard DHL employees, customers’ shipments, DHL assets, and information against loss, damage, or incident.
Co-ordinate Hub security activities and ensure compliance of DHL staff and sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual.
Conduct security audits (and assist other audit teams, e.g., GSOP), both proactively and reactively, to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures at the Hub.
Coordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security training programs for Hub personnel, particularly DHL-specific training programs such as SAFE.
Ensure regular maintenance of equipment to guarantee 100% operational effectiveness 24/7 / 365.
Ensure compliance with Regionally accredited industry bodies such as TAPA where possible and/or required.

Security Issues Resolution, Investigations

Initiate, coordinate, and conduct security-related investigations such as losses and other security incidents relating to DHL assets, personnel, and shipments carried by DHL. Ensure that all incidents or losses are thoroughly and professionally investigated, that the causes are identified and that the appropriate measures are taken to minimize and prevent re-occurrence, ensure that any resources available to DHL in terms of assets or shipment recovery are utilized and that legal action is initiated where appropriate.

Security related Networking

Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within DHL as security of the shipment in DHL custody is an end-to-end process

Security Incident Database – Information Management

Provide input and participate in the reporting of security incidents into the database
Prepare and analyze the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents, including Dangerous Goods. Where appropriate, recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security incidents as they occur

YOUR PROFILE:

3-5 years in a Security Supervisor position
Good acknowledge of setting up security systems: CCTV, Access control, Intrusion Alarm, Fire fighting system
Experience in security Standards such as TAPA, CTPAT, and ISO.
Experience in managing security service providers.
Experience in managing compliance issues, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting, and record-keeping
Set up and operation of fire fighting system
Ability to effectively communicate with facility and corporate personnel
Possess professional written / verbal communication skills to include technical reports and group presentations
Ability to influence change at all levels of the organization.
Fluent in English
