- This role is responsible for all centralized Make and Capex procurement activities to provide services/products timely with efficient cost for Vietnam MU (Market Unit).
- This role is responsible for leading the sourcing activities, including spend analysis, sourcing, supply development, identifying productivity opportunities and performance monitoring, control and reporting for all Make and Capex spend within Vietnam approx. (-U$13.7MM). The role is responsible for identifying and developing cross-functional teams to deliver TCO reduction strategies, as well as managing relationships with senior operations, supply chain, Procurement COE as well as suppliers. This role will also actively engage with BU (Business Unit) to leverage from global vendor harmonization, sourcing strategy and coordinate with Supply Chain, M&E function for effective planning, inventory management, and supplier performance management. This role is responsible for 3 categories and manage more than 200 suppliers with 7% of annual operating productivity.
Main responsibilities:
Deliver Growth
- Work closely with APAC Category Leads to define and implement sourcing strategy for Make, Capex to ensure cost, improvements, service/product quality and speed to the market.
- Drive 5% of compressible spend year-on-year reductions in conversion, freight and value engineering (around USD$0.7M). - - Reduce costs year on year net of inflation and quality investments.
- Monitor, perform supply risk assessment to identify alternative supply sources and implement BCP plan to assure supply continuity to support business growth.
Create Efficiency
- Optimize service/product specifications through understanding the levers that drive cost in the supply chain by taking a holistic view - both upstream at Suppliers' plants, and downstream in PepsiCo's distribution supply chain.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional teams (Production, M&E...) to drive cost reduction initiatives and execution.
- Effectively communicate and work with Procurement COE and relevant stakeholders to drive and implement sourcing and productivity strategy.
- Leverage supplier and market insights, as well as networking with peers in PepsiCo and lift & shifting of productivity ideas from Global/ Sector/Region.
- Maximize the performance of suppliers to ensure they deliver sustainable productivity and competitive advantage through the execution of their contractual obligations. Develop and implement structured supplier performance reviews and key performance indicators for categories managed. Manage compliance to the contract terms and obligations through periodic performance reviews with local MU procurement, and supply chain teams
Drive Future Success
- Transform the Make and Capex category in Vietnam through strategy ownership, and supplier development and work with COE to unlock the next generation of technology investments by the suppliers in the markets and build a cohesive regional supply base
- Proactively explore and apply best practices from other market to strengthen and nourish a sustainable supply base.- Minimum 5 years+ experience in a Procurement Manager role for Make/Capex in FMCG
- Demonstrated technical procurement knowledge of Make and Capex management to ensure the continued adoption and use of best practice approaches.
- Sound sourcing experience in building a new factory and manage purchase transactions with overseas vendors.
- Strong Project Management and Negotiation Skills.
- Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations
- Excellent analytical and communication skills in English
- Good knowledge on Contractual term/ risk analysis/ liabilities and indemnities / SLA's / and general commercial terms
