1. Develop and implement inspection procedures for incoming materials and components.
2. Evaluate and approve incoming material quality based on established standards.
3. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.
4. Maintain records of inspections, test results, and supplier performance.
5. Monitor and inspect in-process manufacturing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
6. Identify and address quality issues during the production process.
7. Implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve in-process quality issues.
8. Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
9. Lead the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
10. Work towards achieving a Scrap Rate (SPR) greater than 95% on both Battery and Vehicle production lines.
11. Oversee final product inspections before delivery to customers.
12. Ensure that all finished products meet quality and safety standards.
13. Manage the resolution of any final product quality issues before shipment.
14. Document and report final inspection results and quality metrics.
15. Implement measures to capture defects at the incoming stage to prevent line disruptions.
16. Proactively work to reduce field issues and scrap costs by implementing checkpoints based on manufacturing and field issues.
17. Develop and maintain a skill matrix associated with the role to ensure effective performance.
18. Possess expertise in Fit & Finish, IPQC, PFMEA, FMEA, Internal Auditing, PPAP, Problem Solving Analysis, 8D Analysis, 7 QC Tools, and Statistical Process Control.
19. Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including the ability to direct and interact effectively with people.
20. Foster a positive work environment, resolve conflicts, and maintain composure under pressure.
21. Uphold standards, manage tasks effectively, and pursue goals with a focus on producing quality output.
§ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven track record of managing incoming quality, in-process quality, and final quality control.
§ 10-15 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle manufacturing industry.
§ Proficient in quality control tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis).
§ Strong understanding of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
§ Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools.
§ Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
§ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Certification in quality management systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is desirable.
