Purpose of Role:
• Gather and analyze financial information on costs, pricing Strategy, expenses and revenues
• Develop analysis of economic indicators such as inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates and their impact on the P&L (development) of the company
• Make the financial reports for Group & provide the relevant departments with accurate, timely and effective accounting management information
• Be a trusted finance business partner with Commercial team to achieve company's commercial and financial KPIs
• Commercial finance plays a critical role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process; some of the ways in which commercial finance integrates into the IBP process (PMR/DR and Stage & Gates meetings) include Financial Forecasting, Scenario Planning and Performance Management in but most importantly being agent of change to support IBP implementation
• Maintain strong partnership with Operation Finance and act as senior leader to build a high performing Finance team
Key Accountabilities/ Job Description :
1. Build up price key frames and control the margins of selling for new and existing products. Take ownership of the price and margin calculations process for Home Trade products, including maintenance of pricing data in systems
2. Analyze Company's overhead structure on the commercial side and suggest methods to reduce costs including co/creation and tracking on Sales Incentive Plan
3. Make the monthly financial report and financial analysis on GPM program for Business Unit and Group (book closing and variance analysis)
4. Plan the half-yearly forecasts and annual budget for Company's commercial operation.
5. Prepare the monthly latest estimate and rolling forecast
6. Update information, compare and adjust competences in order to fit the new economic skills arising in Group
7. Co-operate with audit company in making the Legal Package report for Business Unit and Group at the end of financial year
8. Gather, follow up and report to Department Managers about actual expenses arising monthly in Company
9. Provide accurate and appropriate financial information to relevant departments
10. Innovate and continuously improve reporting and analysis of commercial results, including but not limited to channel, customer and product profitability
11. Initiate and implement internal controls in the commercial area
12. Some of the ways in which commercial finance integrates into the IBP process (PMR/DR and Stage & gates meetings) include:
Financial Forecasting: Commercial finance teams provide financial forecasts, including revenue, cost, and profit projections, which are used to inform the IBP process.
Scenario Planning: Commercial finance teams work with other business functions to develop and analyze different scenarios, helping the organization to make informed decisions. Including Innovation stage & Gates process
Performance Management: Commercial finance teams track and report on key performance indicators, providing insights into business performance and helping to identify areas for improvement.
13. Promote Return on Investment mindset in commercial team via creating Pre-post Evaluation process for Trade spend and Marketing spend
14. Conduct finance training sessions for finance / non-finance colleagues
15. Take part or lead finance related projects
16. Prepare analyses and presentations for the Company's stakeholders (Group functions, Board, Shareholder) in cooperation with and based on inputs of the Commercial Directors and General Manager
17. Perform other job-related duties as assignedJob Requirements:
- Technical/ Professional knowledge and skills
o Knowledge: Graduate Finance/ Economic University, major in Finance/ Accounting, at least 5 yrs experience at the same position in foreign manufacturing companies. Knowledge of management control mechanism
o Skill: Communication (both oral & written English & Vietnamese), excellent use of Excel, familiar with SAP system or any other Finance/ Accounting system
