Are you a skilled Automation Tester with a passion for ensuring software quality? We have an exciting opportunity in Ho Chi Minh City for an Automation Tester to join our newly forming team, dedicated to improve and extend the coverage of our suite of unit, functional and integration tests. Our core banking system manages a diverse range of assets and plays a crucial role in our customers' banking services by integrating with various tools such as KYC checks and personal financial management solutions, providing immediate insight and control to both customers and banks. As part of the international development team, with team members in Iceland, The Netherlands, and Vietnam, you will participate in daily stand-up meetings, perform manual and automated tests, help triage bug reports and have regular contact with key users of our software.
Role and responsibilities:
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Create a QA strategy for a portfolio of web applications and RESTful API’s.
- Develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated tests.
- Work with developers, other QA's, project managers to plan and execute manual and automated tests.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Solution Architect, and other team members.
- Proficiency in performing functional and regression tests manually to validate software functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Vietnam, Iceland and the Netherlands to deliver exceptional products.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tester with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in performing functional and regression tests manually to validate software functionality.
- Familiarity with Cypress test framework.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like ReadyAPI and Pact.js
- Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's level degree in a field that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related degree.
- 3+ years of minimum experience in technical software testing. Minimum intermediate level.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and quality assurance principles.
- Independent work ethic with the ability to take ownership of testing efforts.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
