We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to lead our Legal team and oversee the legal framework supporting our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both legal and technical aspects, with a focus on fintech, and will be instrumental in promoting a culture of compliance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior management on business activities, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts with partners such as Banks, and Financial Institutions, Telcos, …
• Oversee the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company, advising on necessary adjustments to business practices.
• Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and drive legal innovation.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Vietnamese qualified lawyer with top academic credentials.
• About 12-15 years post-qualified experience with a focus on banking, finance, fintech, IT, telecommunications, or related fields.
• Extensive knowledge of local and international laws, particularly in corporate, investment, commerce, technology, intellectual property, labor, and telecommunications.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-stakes legal documents and agreements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and within a cross-cultural team.
• Technically proficient, with the ability to leverage technology to enhance legal processes.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English; excellent command of legal English is a must.
