Role

The Wellness Movement Instructor plays a key role in delivering holistic and transformative guest experiences through tailored movement sessions, while also supporting the smooth operation of the spa, fitness, and reception areas. This dynamic, guest-focused position requires a versatile individual capable of leading a variety of wellness classes and contributing to the high standards of luxury service across departments. In addition to facilitating engaging wellness sessions, the instructor actively supports spa performance, assists in cross-functional operations, and contributes to team development and colleague growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver personalized wellness sessions including yoga, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, and fitness training tailored to individual guest needs.
• Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining Aman Spa standards across all spa, fitness, and reception touchpoints.
• Support daily operations and setups for wellness spaces such as the Yoga Pavilion, Pilates Studio, Gym, and treatment areas.
• Provide one-on-one coaching with post-session guidance, promoting mindful practices and long-term wellness goals.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all wellness areas and ensure proper use and upkeep of equipment.
• Contribute to product management by monitoring inventory, assisting with spa retail, and supporting stock control processes.
• Engage in guest interaction and feedback, adapting classes and services to accommodate diverse needs, skill levels, and preferences.
• Collaborate with the spa and cross-functional teams, attending meetings, logging reports, and supporting reception or treatments as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and wellness program planning, including weekly activity schedules and promotional events.
• Promote brand standards and team excellence, leading by example in grooming, punctuality, and upholding Aman’s service culture.

Requirements

• Minimum 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification (recognized by Yoga Alliance or equivalent).
• Certification or proven experience in at least one additional modality: Pilates, functional fitness, breathwork, or meditation.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching wellness/movement classes in a luxury, spa, resort, or retreat setting.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and safe movement practices.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
