Position overview:

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to identify suppliers/factories in China to uphold our quality and enable timely order execution as we scale. As a Sourcing specialist, you are expected to lead sourcing initiatives to identify top suppliers/factories in China, ensure optimal product quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Supplier Identification & Evaluation:

• Source potential suppliers/factories in China through market research and network outreach.
• Develop criteria for vetting new suppliers on production capabilities, quality systems, lead times, etc.
• Assess supplier facilities and conduct capability audits.

Sourcing execution:

• Analyse new product request from R&D team and start end-to-end sourcing projects including product match assessment, price negotiations, contracts.
• Follow up sourcing activities to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
• Keep tracking on sale volume of the product and proactively expand sourcing scope to ensure capability of order fulfillment from suppliers.
• Expand partnership network by Identifying and acquiring the right suppliers and factories.

Performance management:

• Periodically review supplier performance base on analytical data and lead improvement process with suppliers in charge.
• Lead discussions to renegotiate contracts/pricing as needed.

Process improvement:

• Develop suppliers/subcontractor selection criteria, negotiate price, terms and conditions, cost reduction calculation, breakdown and analyze the actual cost.
• Develop knowledge of suppliers capabilities, capacity and performance and contribute to the right placement decisions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor degree in business, supply chain,...
• +3 years experience in sourcing/procurement with Chinese partners.
• Experienced in sourcing new vendors in apparels industry.
• Have background and knowledge in Chinese culture.
• Good understanding of business process when working with apparels factories.
• Be familiar with sourcing platform like Ali Express, Tmall, 1688.
• Fluent in English language abilities, Chinese is a plus.
• Superior communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven success in securing favorable contracts.
