Role Overview
This new role is a key step toward future Country Management, based within the Global Internal Audit (GIA) team. GIA, part of our Centre of Excellence, supports the company in achieving strategic, operational, financial, and compliance goals. As a GIA member, you'll assess business processes, governance, risk management, and controls across local and global entities. Your primary responsibility is to execute the country’s internal audit plan, aligned with GIA methodology, and provide recommendations to improve business risks and compliance. The role demands the highest professional standards and occasional travel to domestic and overseas plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, perform and monitor audit projects according to the Global Internal Audit (GIA) methodology, system & programs adequately, effectively & efficiently.
- Strong audit knowledge in IFRS application to audit projects.
- Train, coach and supervise IA members for audit projects, review audit deliverables and workpapers to ensure compliance with GIA approved audit standards.
- Evaluate business process risks & controls, engage and work effectively with auditees on audit findings, recommendations and corrective actions, from drafting stage to final issuance of internal audit reports.
- Promote risk and control awareness by facilitating control self-assessment programs.
- Review and provide continuous feedbacks on newly developed or existing policies, procedures and processes to ensure control adequacy and effectiveness are up to date.
Expertise & Qualification Requirements
- Demonstrate highest level of integrity, professionalism & ethical work standards.
- Strong project management experience, knowledge & skills in fieldwork auditing and high quality deliverables in the performance of audit projects.
- Capable of providing leadership and interpersonal skills in dealing effectively & professionally with the various local plant process owners at all levels in order to deliver audit projects within assigned timeframe consistently & successfully.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in the application of IFRS to audit projects and willingness to share & train staff auditors within the IA team.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Internal Audit methodology and work documentation system, risk management frameworks and investigation process.
- Highly reliable when working independently, with timely communication & reporting of work matters to GIA.
- Effective team player, self-motivated, responsible, independent and able to work under pressure.
- Minimum a Bachelor degree holder and/or recognized accountancy/audit professional qualification equivalent to CA/ACCA/CPA/CIA (or equivalent professional qualifications as recognized internationally).
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience in auditing/accounting gained from international public accounting/auditing firms and/or multinational companies.
- High proficiency in report writing, fluent in verbal and written business English, and technically sound presentation skill in communicating audit matters, both through virtual meeting and in-person sessions.
- Strong data analytics skills, especially excel skills, capable of delivering high quality of data analysis and data mining in auditing work.
