We are looking for an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) Software Test Engineer to join our software development and testing team in the automotive industry. You will be involved in the development and testing processes for in-vehicle ECU software, ensuring that electronic systems and software operate accurately, reliably, and meet high technical standards.

ECU/Embedded Electronic Product Software Testing: Perform software testing for ECUs and related embedded electronic products in automotive systems, such as Electric Drive System (EDS - Inverter), On/Off-Board Charger, DC-DC Converter, Charging Station Systems (AC/DC chargers), etc.
Software Testing at Various Levels: Execute testing activities across multiple levels, including system-level requirements coverage, system integration requirements coverage, software-level requirements coverage, and software integration testing.
Requirements Analysis and Test Design: Analyze software technical requirements and design test cases to validate functionality, performance, and compatibility for ECUs.
Test Scenario Development and Execution: Create and execute both automated and manual test scenarios, including system tests, integration tests, and regression tests.
Test Environment Simulation: Set up simulation systems to mimic the ECU's operating environment, including real-world operating conditions to assess compatibility and software stability.
Automated Test Design: Develop and maintain automated test cases to optimize the testing process and improve test coverage, using tools such as Python, TestStand, or other testing platforms.
Test Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, identify bugs, report them, and track defect resolution progress.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software development engineers and other testing teams to address issues found during testing.
ECU Software Compatibility and Security Testing: Ensure software compatibility with ECU hardware and test the security of electronic systems.
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing: Conduct HIL testing to ensure the accuracy and performance of the software under real vehicle operating conditions.
Test Process Optimization: Propose improvements to the testing process to enhance efficiency and reduce testing time.
Test Item Management: Manage testing tasks and deliverables within the project.
Testing Equipment Research and Procurement: Research testing equipment requirements, coordinate with procurement teams and partners to acquire testing tools and devices.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work with stakeholders to ensure test planning and execution align with project goals.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Software Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
Experience:

5+ years in embedded software testing, especially in electronics
3+ years in testing automotive software
Familiar with development processes: ASPICE, V-Model, ISO 9001, ISO 26262, ISO 21434

Technical Skills:

Solid understanding of electronics and automotive systems
Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet communication protocols
Proficient in test tools: TestStand, CANoe, LabVIEW, INCA, Lauterbach, Matlab/Simulink
Programming skills in C/C++, Python
Experience with HIL/simulation environments and automated test case development

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analysis
Good planning, teamwork, and communication
Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
Able to read technical documents and communicate in basic English

Plus: Knowledge of automotive standards (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 15118, ISO 61851)
