Business Development: Commercial performance
- Drive the competitive position and commercial success of BSI Vietnam within the Food Sector in order to contribute to the strategic plan and achievement of BSI’s company objectives.
- Assist business heads and office heads with the preparation and management of Food Sector budgets to achieve profit, revenue and cost targets.
- Ensure all Vietnam offices are delivering against agreed Sector scorecards and mobilisation plans.
- Obtain and maintain an extensive level of market and expert knowledge within the Food Sector, including the cultivation of business contacts to position BSI closer to its existing or potential customers.
- Represent BSI as a Sustainability thought leader at relevant conferences and industry events.
- Maintain effective relationships with existing and potential customers, relevant industry associations, and government and statutory authorities to ensure BSI is seen as a thought leader and partner of choice.
- Be the client relationship manager for major accounts as required.
- Nurture and build Vietnam wide commercial opportunities.
- Develop regional and global proposals, and secure contracts for the provision of business certification and compliance services by BSI.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing business development plan for the region that will achieve predefined growth targets and allow for coordination and synergy amongst program groups, schemes, and streams.
- Liaise with BSI Standards for all things Food Sector related and support the Food team with BSI Standards information and communication.
- Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with scheme, standard and program owners in Vietnam.
- Support the future planning and management of existing assessor and tutor competence across the region to ensure countries have the correct capability and capacity to deliver the Food Sector growth.
- Work with countries to ensure all client managers meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective way, including the negotiated utilisation of client managers from the different BSI countries. This must include agreed utilisation of client managers from different countries to meet client needs.
- Support the high utilisation of assessor and tutor skills to ensure profitable growth and budgets targets.
- Support Vietnam operations director and Food Sector teams in assessor and tutor skills acquisition to build the required resources and people skills for growth.
- Manage scheme managers as direct reports and business associates as required.
- Assist countries with the recruitment and on boarding of new starters against the BSI Vietnam resourcing plan.
- Assist countries with the management of productivity of each team member within their program or sector, including adherence to BSI’s technical and administrative procedures, the undertaking of performance reviews, objective setting, and personal development plans.
- Act as a brand ambassador for BSI. This means acting ethically, following company rules and promoting BSI services to clients so they are able to optimize business performance and make excellence a habit.
