*** MAIN DUTIES:
* Customer Service:
- Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other associates (internal customers) and other visitors to the division.
- Ensures all associates provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
- Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
* Operational:
- Responsible for maintenance/safety in gymnasium and supervising exercise programme for members and guests.
- Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag at all times.
- Teaches aerobic classes to members and guests in accordance with the aerobic schedule.
- Works in close coordination with the Recreation Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Gymnasium and aerobic room.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in the gymnasium and aerobic room.
- Responsible for teaching any scheduled exercise classes that have been arranged by the
* Assistant Manager.
- Ensures that members and guests use the gymnasium and aerobic studio wearing the correct attire.
- Conducts a daily check of all exercise equipment in the gymnasium and records the repairs that are necessary as required by policy and procedures.
- Ensures that there is always a minimum of one trainer on duty on the gymnasium floor at all times.
- Maintains close contact with guests/members and communicates feedback from them regarding the operation of the gymnasium and aerobic room to the Assistant Manager as required.
- Conducts fitness evaluation/reassessments for members and guests on a regular basis with regards to the standards required.
- Conducts personal training referencing guidelines under Policy and Procedure.
- Conducts monthly fitness centre activities.
* Personnel:
- Supports the implementing, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
* Other Duties:
- Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming
- Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt International
- Reads the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety
- Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required
- Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
